Walking for World Peace
On Sunday, October 26th, P.S. 132 was invited to attend a very inspiring event. Danny Garcia, founder of the Global Walk Foundation, ended his walk for peace from Washington D.C. to New York City at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle. Danny completed 25,000 miles of walking for peace, the length of the circumference of the globe! In partnership with our after school program, Where Peace Lives, Danny walked to let the world know that together we are taking a stand for the children of the world to be able to live in peace, and to be able to create peace within themselves and to build peace with those around them. Gianna Sampogna and Theresa Fevola represented our school at this incredible celebration. Gianna shared her feelings about being a part of the program, Where Peace Lives. We were truly inspired by Danny's words and actions that day. We look forward to working with Where Peace Lives again this year.

Broadway Comes to P.S. 132!
Our Theater and Drama Academy, TADA has begun their musical theater residency with our first and second grade students. Students will learn the skills necessary to participate as musical theater performers. Each session begins with vocal exercises, acting games, stretching and dance. Our first and second graders will also learn musical numbers from some of our favorite Broadway shows. In December, our first and second graders will perform for their families and friends. We hope to see you then!
