Character Education Update!

Our Character Education Program has truly inspired our students to become better citizens. This year, we have studied the following pillars of character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility and Fairness.

Currently, we are immersed in the theme of Caring. We hope to provide a powerful learning experience that will engage our students in listening, thinking, discussing, analyzing, and applying character education, social and emotional learning, and life skills. Our program is designed to help young people become caring, respectful, responsible people who think critically, solve problems non-violently, and make choices based on right and wrong.

Here are some things you can do to reinforce our current theme, Caring.

*Talk with your children about the importance of doing things for other people. Remind them often that they have the power to brighten another person's day through a simple act of kindness.
*Participate in a community service project with your children.
*Try to find things that you can do together to make a difference.
*Catch your child being caring, that is doing something kind and generous for another person.
